Esta semana, Rob Sheffield publicó en Rolling Stone una lista que contiene, en su opinión, las 50 mejores canciones de los años 90.
El derrotero, que incluye una presencia predominante de nombres del hip hop, es encabezado por «Smells Like Teen Spirit», single que catapultó a Nirvana a la fama mundial en septiembre de 1991.
Otros incluidos desde la vereda del rock son The Offspring, Weezer, Bikini Kill, Beck, Oasis, R.E.M. y Pavement, junto con figuras del pop como Whitney Houston, TLC y Britney Spears.
Eso sí, llama la atención la ausencia de Radiohead, Pearl Jam y Red Hot Chili Peppers, nombres que entregaron exitosos hits en esa década.
